"FREEVE"

If you ask Carson how old he is, he says 'freeve!"  It is so darn cute!  He turned 3 just a couple of weeks ago and we had 2 celebrations.  Daddy works out of town sometimes so he wasn't here on Carson's actual birthday.  So we celebrated at home a couple of days before with a cake and presents!  Carson is really into all sorts of sports right now.  So we got him a soccer set and tee ball set! He loves playing with both all the time!

On his actual birthday we got together will all of his preschooler and kindergarten cousins, their moms and the grandmas too! Another sport he really loves is GOLF!  So we went to Fiesta Fun and had pizza, cupcakes and presents and then a round of mini golf!  It was really a lot of fun and Carson was just in HEAVEN!  Any chance he gets to play with his cousins he just gets so excited!  He got lots of fun water toys and art supplies to keep us busy this summer :)
Carson has his 3 year old dr appt next week so stay tuned for updates on his 3 yr old check up and dentist visit!  Oh I love him so ;)

Where did my baby go?

So, Carson turned 3 last week. While it is so exciting to see him grow, it is also bitter sweet.  I don't have a baby anymore:(  One of the only times I can hold him like a baby is just after his bath when he is all snug in his towel.  Sometimes I hold him in his room for quite a while.  It is one of my most favorite times with him.  He looks at his mommy for a long time and we just talk and laugh and count and sing.  Oh I love this little boy.  He will always be my little baby :)

Disneyland!

Well, hello there blogger!
So, I have been dying to take Carson to Disneyland for the past year! And a couple of weeks ago we finally made it! We planned it just in time before Carson's 3rd birthday :)
We spent 3 days at Disneyland and then hung out at Downtown Disney with Kathy, Jon and Jordan for a day before heading home. Eric found out that he had to be back to work sooner than he thought so he had to fly into LA to meet us there for a few days and then fly back to work. Regardless of the change in our plans, we still had a blast!
We were lucky to have some family join us on this little vacation! Gramma Bev, Gramma Loni, Joni, Codee , Jackson and Sophia (fuzzies) enjoyed the fun with us! I was so excited that they were able to come with us! Carson just LOVES his cousins and wants to see them everyday! How exciting to be at Disneyland with them! We also had a last minute surprise! My nephew Jordan(16) met us in the park for a day. We found out that he had NEVER been to Disneyland before NOR on any rides anywhere before! Somehow we got him to go on the Tower of Terror right when he got there. You can see in his face how terrified he was ;)
Carson absolutely loved all of the rides and characters! Mickey Mouse is his all time favorite right now, so I know the little guy was just in heaven. I even got a little teary-eyed as I was watching his face during the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse-Live on Stage." I just love seeing him so excited and happy. It's really hard getting back in the swing of things at home after a fun and exhausting vacation :)
To my sis-in-laws who may be reading this: We need to start planning our next trip! :)

First Movie! (well, sort of)

Today we took Carson to see his first movie, RIO! Well, technically it wasn't his "first" movie. When he was eight weeks old we took him to see "The Hangover" (which I am embarrassed to admit). But it was Father's Day and that's what Eric wanted to see. So, anyway, since he didn't remember that one, this was REALLY his first movie! He did great!! He absolutely LOVED it! He stay in his own seat most of the time and even danced around when the music came on. The licorice and his own soda really helped too. It was so cute and such a fun night! I was nervous about taking him, but since it was such a success, we will be going to movies more! Below are some pictures of the night. In the third one down some weird guy and his cute baby jumped in the picture ;)

2 YEAR OLD!

Carson had his 2-year-old doctor appointment today! The doctor said that he is doing great and right on target for his age! He weighs 29.1 lbs / 63% and his height is 34.45in tall / 57%. The doctor was also pleased with his progress in speech and has no concerns at this time! This is such a relief to us that he is where he needs to be in all of his development! We are so proud of our little Carson and he is such a joy in our lives! More than words can ever explain. I really don't know what I would be doing with my life if I didn't have this amazing, active, bratty, adorable, needy, whiny, lovable, perfect 2-year-old! I wouldn't have it any other way :)

BUTT PASTE

Ok, so this stuff is really amazing. It really clears up the rash right away! However, I don't like the name so much. It just feels funny saying it. So I usually don't say anything about it when I am changing Carson's diaper. Just put the cream on and new diaper and we're done! Sooooo, the other day when I was changing a diaper, I grabbed the stuff and Carson right away said, " BUTT PASTE!" What the!!?? First of all, we have been concerned about his speech delays. And then for him to come out and say Butt Paste! It was hilarious. I yelled out to Eric in the other room and said, " Did you hear that? He said Butt Paste!" And then he said it again! We were cracking up! So we couldn't figure out how he caught on to what it was called. Eric said he never says it and I asked Grandma Bev and she said she always calls it cream, because she doesn't like the word butt. So we found out! It was Grandma Patti! She has been watching Carson about once a week for the past month and she said she always says, now lets put the butt paste on! So last night, Carson was being his wild self right before bed he started saying "BUTT PASTE, BUTT PASTE, BUTT PASTE" over and over. So of course Daddy and Mommy were cracking up. And then daddy said, Can you say, "BUTT FACE" Oh great, here we go!

A nice day for a stroll

So Carson got this cute little trike for Christmas from Papa Ray and Grandma Bev. He absolutely loves it! The weather is finally warming up so we can go on little walks around the neighborhood. We just got this cute little helmet for him and he loves to wear it. The bike also has a little bell that Carson rings as he is riding around. Oh the joy! This is what life is really about! I just love being a mom! What did I do with my life before I had this little guy? :)
